About donner gardens

Nestled in the heart of Jackson Heights, Donner Gardens was built in 1951 for the Queensboro Corporation. It was designed by architect Philip Birnbaum who designed about 300 other buildings that were notable for maximizing floor space. The co-op is comprised of five, six story buildings, 270 units in all. They are located at 33-15, 33-25, and 33-35 on 81st Street, and 33-16 and 33-26 located on 82nd Street. Apartments include studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms spanning up to approximately 1,000 square feet. Modern amenities include new elevators, laundry rooms, storage rooms, private gardens and a 100 car parking garage. Additionally, the buildings are pet-friendly.

Donner Gardens is located within City Council District 25, Queens Community Board 3, Community School District 30, and is served by the 115th Police Precinct and FDNY Engine 307 Ladder 154.

Residents here enjoy the close proximity to Travers Park, the Jackson Heights Greenmarket, the 82nd Street commercial corridor, and the 34th Avenue Open Street.

Public transportation options abound with the 7 train accessible at the 82 Street-Jackson Heights station and the E, F, M, R trains at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station. The Q32, Q33, and Q66 bus stops are steps away from the building.

The property is well-maintained by a longstanding and dedicated staff. The super lives on the premises and the buildings are managed by David Associates Real Estate Management.
