Dogs on Property

The Board has voted to allow Shareholders to bring their dogs into the small, shared park areas on both the 81st and 82nd Street wings of the complex.

As in all common areas, dogs must always remain leashed. The shared parks are not meant to serve as a dog run. Further, Shareholders are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Cameras are in place and violations will result in fines to the Shareholder.

This approval is an interim measure. If there are repeated failures to leash and clean up the Board will vote to reinstate the ban on dogs in the shared park.

Please note that our Garden Committee has been consulted and has kindly allowed for this interim measure. If in their assessment allowing dogs in the park areas is damaging to the plant beds and landscaping that all Shareholders enjoy, the Board will reinstate the dog ban.

Finally, as a reminder, dogs must be leashed at all times in common spaces including the basement, elevators, entryways, hallways, and garage. Cameras are in place and violations of the leash requirement may result in a fine.

Package Theft Prevention

Dear Residents:

There is an ongoing citywide trend of package theft in apartment buildings. These thefts mainly impact packages delivered by USPS or couriers such as UPS, FEDEX, and AMAZON that are left in building lobbies.

Below are steps that you can take to prevent the theft of your package:

1. Ask for a tracking number. This allows you to track your package and final delivery date.

2. If possible ask for signature delivery option.

3. Request that your packages are left outside your apartment door.

4. Ask a trustworthy neighbor to keep an eye out for your package if you will be away for a few days.

5. If Package is left at the mailbox area, please pick up package as soon as possible. Dont leave your package unattended for any length of time.

Although security cameras are installed throughout the building, they will not prevent packages form being stolen.

The CO-OP is not responsible for packages left at the building.

Scaffolding Erection

Dear Residents:

Please be informed that to comply with City Building Code of the Cycle 9A Facade Inspection and Repairs, a scaffold bridge is required to be erected at the front entrance of the property for pedestrain protection.

The scaffold is expected to be installed this coming Monday May 23, 2022. Once all work is completed and inspected the scaffold will be removed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation towards this matter.
